Jeremy Lin had 18 points, 11 assists and 4 steals in a close 120-119 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves last night.
Lin had a nice alley oop to Wesley Johnson and a smooth reverse layup that displayed his hangtime and patience. Check the tape:
The surprise isn’t that Lin plays well, it’s that we can’t count on it. Lin has been the same issues thats followed him in his career in New York, Houston and now in Los Angeles: consistency.
I haven’t done the research but I wouldn’t be surprised to see that his performance dramatically drops against tougher defenders (Kawhi Leonard, Patrick Beverly).
Not so much against tougher teams, but individual defenders that are longer and stronger, and are physical with Lin.
