I haven’t seen much information about the new sweetgreen opening in Union Square except for a small mention hidden deep in an article about a third location opening in the Upper West Side. The new locations aren’t even on sweetgreen’s website yet.
Though the piece focused mainly on sweetgreen’s new 2460 Broadway location (between West 91st and West 92nd Streets), there was a paragraph toward the end that talked about sweetgreen’s New York City expansion for 2017:
Slated to open in May are locations at 101 University Place at the corner of East 12th Street and 50 Washington Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Come fall, Sweetgreen will bow at the Grace Building at 1114 Avenue of the Americas between West 42nd and West 43rd Streets.
If this is true, then we have four new sweetgreen locations to look forward to this year: Union Square, Upper West Side, DUMBO, and Midtown West (Times Square). Here’s the four new sweetgreens set to open in New York City in 2017:
