After watching one episode of “Deadliest Catch” I was curious to know the ethnic background and race of troublemaker Jake Harris (at least in that episode).
Their tatted-up, father Phil Harris, who died in 2011, looked like a White guy — Caucasian. But Jake (and brother Josh) look to be part Latino or possibly Asian. Articles indicate that Phil Harris’s first wife Mary was an exotic dancer at a club called “Goodtime Charley’s” but little else is known.
According to Josh Harris’s old MySpace page (yes, MySpace), his page listed himself as Pacific Islander. Sounds like their mother my have been Filipino, so that makes Josh and Jake Harris HaPa, half-Asian.
