When I lived in San Francisco, I was a 5 minute walk from Public Works, an event venue that hosted a variety of parties and performances. One of the parties that I attended was a monthly event called Non-Stop Bhangra
I’ve always been interested in Indian music; something about how the beats and melodies are structure resonate with me. Not to mention, I am a sucker for group dancing.
DJ Magic Baron actually took 4 annoying songs (including ‘Sexy and I Know It’ and ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’) into a palatable 4 minute megamix
I don’t know how best to set this post up other than to say sometimes the small, simple tweaks we make to our everyday lives that make a difference.
I just saw my fifth Justin Bond performance this past week when Bond packed the house for her 20th “Tranniversary” at the (le) poisson rouge.
With a few Bluetooth speakers now in my possession (Jambox Classic, SoundBot shower speaker, and Bluetooth clock radio), I was curious to see whether I could connect (not pair, connect) all three speakers
After months of promises, M.I.A. finally put out (or “unblocked”) the music video for Double Bubble trouble today. Check it out in all it’s awesome, “uncensored” glory.

Because the sound sucksss at Terminal 5, I couldn’t make out more than a handful of words. During the concert, M.I.A. and her crew threw pouches of colored powder into the crowd, a la “Holi” […]
I haven’t seen Pearl Jam live in over 10 years. Was grateful I was able to catch them when they came to Brooklyn. PJ played a 35-song set which included Hail Hail, Leaving Here, State of Love and Trust, In Hiding, Given to Fly, Last Exit, Porch, Black, and “The Star-Spangled Banner” closed the show. […]
