Oh crap. If you were watching Super Bowl LII then you saw that Marvel released a new Avengers: Infinity War trailer during the 52nd Super Bowl.
The only trace of the commercial online is a fuzzy phone video posted onto a Facebook group. Even with the poor video, the trailer features enough for to get fanboys sweaty and anxious. Check the trailer that was posted on Facebook less than an hour ago (sorry no longer available, but we’ve updated it below)
Ahhhh. Though this trailer has a lot of the same footage from the first Infinity War trailer that got millions of fanboys (including me) crying in late November 2017, the Super Bowl trailer featured enough new scenes to get fans foaming at the mouth and keeps the momentum going into Black Panther’s release in a couple weeks.
Two of the more exciting scenes from the Trailer has Doctor Strange teaming up with Iron Man wielding their powers in what looks like a New York City backdrop and Captain America’s arm turning into a gun as he and Black Panther prepare for a battle.
Another scene builds on Thor meeting the Guardians of the Galaxy, as we see the Norse God flying in a spaceship with Rocket Raccoon and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy. There’s a mask-less Spider-Man climbing up the side of a missle(?) There’s also New scenes with Groot, Black Widow and the The Winter Solider. It all ends with the camera panning up-close of Thanos face.
Though we now only have this poor recording of the commercial trailer playing on a TV, it still gets the blood pumping (see original Facebook post from Marvel Cinematic Universe Facebook Group). We’ll update this post when we can find a high-res version of the trailer.
Not that this trailer came as a complete surprise as many sites were predicting what big name movies would have trailers during the American sport holiday. In addition to expecting a new Avengers trailer, Games Radar correctly predicts Super Bowl spots for the new Han Solo film, the new installment of Mission: Impossible, Jennifer Garner’s new Red Sparrow movie, and the new Jurassic Park film.
As the trailer announced, Avengers Infinity War will feature “an entire universe” of characters. Not just the Avengers, but Doctor Strange, the Guardians of Galaxy and Spider Man, just to name a handful of the big names.
I can’t believe it’s and that it’s upon us. Avengers Infinity War is two-part film that is a culmination of all the Marvel movies. The film is set to come out in less than 100 days, opening on May 4, 2018.
