Where is the IKEA Brooklyn shuttle bus stop located?

Apparently, there are three IKEA shuttle stops in Brooklyn. In this post, we’re going to talk about locating the Borough Hall bus stop.

The IKEA Brooklyn shuttle stop is located directly across from the Brooklyn Municipal Building on Joralemon Street (near Court St.) right outside the Borough Hall exit in Brooklyn.

Way back when there use to be a sticker on a signpost that indicated that it was the IKEA shuttle stop, but that’s no longer there (as of October 9, 2014). Since there’s no signage, you just have to trust that you’re in the right place.

The shuttle I recently took didn’t have anything on its exterior stating that it was from IKEA, but judging from the passengers getting off with lamps and knick knacks, I knew it was the shuttle. Once on, the shuttle takes anywhere from 15-25 minutes depending on traffic. I was lucky today, my trip there and back both were under 20 minutes (15 and 19 to be exact).

Depending on whether you catch the shuffle or not (it comes every 20-30 minutes on weekdays between 3 PM – 9 PM ; 11 AM – 9 PM on weekends), you may not get there any quicker than getting on the bus (M61), but at the very least, it’s nice to have a direct route to the big blue yellow monstrosity in Red Hook.
