Sweetgreen just released their Spring menu for 2017 and it features two completely new salads and re-introduces an old friend. The new offerings from the 2017 Spring Menu is a diverse foursome; one which features the lowest calorie count the company has ever offered and the other may be the most-expensive menu item they’re ever had. Take a look:

BEETS DON’T KALE MY VIBE

This new-old salad first came out in 2015 in a collaboration with hip hop artist Kendrick Lamar. The salad’s name, if you didn’t already figure it out, is based on Lamar’s hit song “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” and features the following ingredients: organic wild rice, shredded kale, roasted beets, pickled onions, local goat cheese, roasted chicken, raw pecans, balsamic vinaigrette. The rap-inspired salad has 675 calories and costs approximately $11.50.

SPRING CAESAR

The new Spring Caesar salad is a take off on their very popular Kale Caesar salad. The salad may share some of the same ingredients and toppings of the Kale version, but the Spring seasonal has no competition as far as healthy sweetgreen salads are concerned.

Here’s whats in the Spring Caesars: organic arugula, chopped romaine, asparagus, radishes, cucumbers, hard-boiled egg, za’atar breadcrumbs, fresh lemon squeeze, sweetgreen hot sauce, and caesar dressing. The best thing about the Spring Caesar? When looking at calories, its 275 calories makes it the healthiest sweetgreen salad ever (and relatively affordable at $9.35)!

FISH AND CHIPS

The most-exciting new item (and a salad I have yet to try) is sweetgreen’s new “Fish & Chips” salad. With hot chickpeas, organic baby spinach, organic carrots, spicy broccoli, roasted potatoes, roasted steelhead trout (otherwise known as “rainbow trout), warm portobello mix, and creamy horseradish dressing, this salad is definitely the most savory of the new lot. Surprisingly, for as heavy as chickpeas, portobello mix and creamy dressing sounds, it only has 680 calories. The rub? Anytime fish is your protein, it’s going to be expensive. And the “Fish and Chips” salad lives up to that. Getting this salad/bowl will set you back $14.35 (at least in New York).

.

HOT MEZZE

The new spring menu bowl is another take with mediterrean ingredients. The Hot Mezze (get it? SNORE) reads like a mezze plate. The new bowl comes with warm quinoa, hot chickpeas, roasted potatoes, spicy broccoli, raisins, roasted Chicken, housemade hummus, parsley Mint, creamy Sumac dressing. It’ll cost you $11.10 at the Back Bay location and will add 765 calories to your day.
