CHICAGO SWEETGREEN LOCATIONS
Sweetgreen is expanding rapidly. By the time 2017 closes, there will be three more sweetgreens in Chicago for a total of four locations in the Windy City.
I’m all for fresh locally sourced salads that consistently maintain their quality. I’ve been eating sweetgreen now for about two years, and I have yet to be disappointed with one of their salads.
Sweetgreen opened their first Chicago location in the Summer of 2016 and already, three new locations are preparing to open their doors this year 2017. The first location opened at

Sweetgreen is being very strategic about where they place their stores; seeking locations that stand apart from other fast-casual food chains while remaining convenient to hip and trendy neighborhoods.
Sweetgreen uses fresh locally sourced ingredients in all of their salads, making each bite crisp and delicious. This also allows for different salads made of unique ingredient options by location depending on which region you’re in. In Chicago, it’s the usual suspects as far as the menu is concerned save for the “Jalepeno Business”.
“The jalapeno salad is the only menu item exclusive to the Chicago location, inspired by what local growers were harvesting” according to Sweetgreen co-founder Nic Jammet. The exclusive-to-Chicago salad starts out with shredded kale and arugula, along with zucchini, spicy sunflower seeds, roasted corn, Sun Golds, cilantro, portobello mushrooms, feta cheese and a lime, cilantro and jalapeño vinaigrette.
