In search of the best Bhel Puri in New York City
February 25, 2014 - Food
For as many Indian restaurants as there are in New York, we need more that serve Indian street food. Specifically, I am in search of the best Bhel Puri in Manhattan — it’s my current obsession.
The bhel puri I lust over is made up of puffed rice, sev, red onions, potatoes, chilis, cilantro, lime juice, and a tangy tamarind sauce — a orgasmic rainbow of sweet, tart and spice. Apparently, it’s more a snack, but i’ll eat this as a meal like an MF.
If you know where to stalk the best Bhelpuri in NYC – please let me know in the comments below.
